I have an extensive background in the entertainment business, which evolved into a general transactional practice and the regulatory consultant work I do today. As a media transactions and entertainment business affairs practitioner, I was in-house with a national cable network for 2 years; and I have many hours of production counsel and rights/clearances experience. That and my 15+ years experience in the TV business in Los Angeles were crucial to my becoming a consultant for the Belgian regulatory intelligence firm Cullen International, which allows their clients to benefit from my knowledge of American media law.
In recent years I've also worked in an Of Counsel capacity for a nationwide debtor defense firm; and as a solo I regularly review or revise a handful of commercial and employment agreements per week for small business owners, independent contractors and entrepreneurs.
I also have taught in a college setting as an adjunct (a semester-long course of my own design on the Business of Film and TV) and have published one scholarly work on SSRN.com on the impact of New Media on the Hollywood Guilds (abstract available here: http://ssrn.com/abstract=1120671).
